Morning Rush

Good morning guys!


If you woke up late today, like I did, and need to grab your daily dose of caffeine, there’s no place better than Dunks. I grew up in New England so, yes, I am a Dunkin’ girl 💁🏻. I quickly got ready and started my day by walking to Dunkin’. On my walk, I had a good feeling that there wouldn’t be a line so maybe I would finally be able to get the donut I’ve been wanting to try. The past few times I’ve gone to Dunkin’ they never had the donut I’ve wanted ☹️. I got to Dunkin’ and there was no line and they didn’t have the donut that I wanted.  So, I ordered my usual iced coffee with Carmel mocha swirl and the purple potion donut!

So I guess you could say my day is going alright, despite the fact I woke up late.

Good Morning everyone!  Ever wakeup in the mood of eating something not so sweet but sweet enough to help you wake up? Well today I will be showing you how to make Lamona, a recipe from Algeria. Algerians usually have this bread type sweet in the morning with a cup of coffee or milk or even that Arab tea. Rfiss Tounssi

Today we will be visiting Tunisia right from our kitchen tables. I will be showing you step by step how to make Rfiss. Rfiss actually means to mix with your hands in Arabic. This dish is also widely made in Algeria. It is made of semolina and dates and great to have in the morning for breakfast followed by a cup of tea! Ingredients: 1 bowl semolina 1 bowl dates 2 tsp cinnamon 80 gr butter Directions: On a nonstick pan, grill the semolina until a golden color (stir continuously)     Remove from heat and add butter (cut in cubes) and the dates. Mix well, shape the mixture as you desire Serve with a nice cup of mint tea!
