Home Made Chai Lattes

Image
In India, chai is more than just a cup of tea to start the day. It is estimated that 837,000 tons of the tea is consumed every year! Considered one of the oldest drinks in history, this sweet tea was used in ancient India as a healing concoction made with herbs and spices. To this day, it is believed that a cup of chai tea after every meal aids in digestion and can prevent cancer and diabetes. Besides being the staple of every Indian home, chai is my personal obsession. It has been my go-to order at any coffee shop (with my favorite to this day being the from Green T Coffee Shop outside of the Roslindal T station in Roslindal, MA! They have the beat vegan options 😋). But nothing beats a good, homemade chai latte... you can spice it to perfection and add a little whipped cream to top it off! Today, I will show you how to make a home made chai latte that will fill and energize you all morning. Not to mention, it’ll be better than Starbucks 😏 The recipe bellow will serve 3. Gath...

Morning Rush

Image
Good morning guys! If you woke up late today, like I did, and need to grab your daily dose of caffeine, there’s no place better than Dunks. I grew up in New England so, yes, I am a Dunkin’ girl 💁🏻. I quickly got ready and started my day by walking to Dunkin’. On my walk, I had a good feeling that there wouldn’t be a line so maybe I would finally be able to get the donut I’ve been wanting to try. The past few times I’ve gone to Dunkin’ they never had the donut I’ve wanted ☹️. I got to Dunkin’ and there was no line and they didn’t have the donut that I wanted.  So, I ordered my usual iced coffee with Carmel mocha swirl and the purple potion donut!                                                                (Photo by SG) So I guess you could say my day is going alright, despite the fact I woke up late. Caffé Nero is a European coffee house which specializes in high-quality Italian coffee. It has become everyone's go-to spot. Each time you walk into the café, the atmosphere is warm and welcoming. The different chairs and tables, as well as the books on the wall, gives the place an ambient feeling without it feeling cluttered.                                                                  (Photo by S.G) The coziness of the shop makes it a great place to study. The ambient and tranquil atmosphere gives you a chance to relax. Besides it being a great place to relax and catch up with friends, Caffé Nero is also a great place to study. Every Sunday, my friends and I go to Caffé Nero; I get my usual cup of iced chai latte and a nice warm toasted croissant.             ...
