Good Morning! Like many of you this past week, I went black Friday shopping with a group of my friends. We walked into William Sonoma and were talking about how excited we are to have our own place and to be able to fill our space with exciting new tools and home decor. One of my friends mentioned how she was going to ask her parents for some of these kitchen types of equipment for her dorm to make her mornings much easier. Breakfast dishes in China vary widely from place to place. Families in Southern China prefer to have soybean milk, deep-fried dough sticks, wheat noodles, rice porridge or congee. People in Canton usually eat dim sum and morning tea in the morning. In Northern China, majority people like salty tofu pudding, rice noodles, wontons, dumplings, and pancakes with eggs. Simple Persian Dish

Hey Guys! Let me tell you, this week has been pretty hectic with Thanksgiving meal prep. I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving, filled with delicious food. Today I will tell you guys a little recipe for this Iranian dish my fathers side of the family always made for me for breakfast. It's super simple! Ingredients: 1 large onion, sliced 1 1/2 garlic clove, dice up finely 1 TBSP of turmeric 1 1/4 fresh spinach (washed and dried) 1 Lemon (fresh squeezed) 1/2 orange (fresh squeezed) 2 TBSP extra Virgin olive oil 4 pinches of saffron (melted in 1 TBSP of hot water) 1/2 tsp black pepper 1 tsp salt 1 or 2 eggs Instruction: Add oil to a non-stick pan once it's been heated, add the garlic and stir. Then add the onion until it has the golden color. Add turmeric and stir. Add the spinach to the pan (if it ends up overflowing from the pan, that is ok!) Columbian Holiday Brunch

Happy Thanksgiving everyone! Today I will be showing you how to make Changua con Huevo a.k.a. Poached Egg Soup. This is a Columbian dish that is normally eaten on special occasions and holidays. Here is what you will need: Serves 4: 4 cups broth (vegetable or chicken 2 cups of milk 4 eggs 3 green onions 1 cilantro (chopped) Salt and Pepper 4 slices of bread Directions: Add the broth and milk to a large pot over medium heat and season with salt and pepper, to taste. Meanwhile, divide the green onion and cilantro between 4 serving bowls. When you see a few bubbles, slide the eggs into the broth and cook for 3 to 4 minutes. To assemble the soup: place one poached egg in each bowl, on top of the green onions and cilantro. Ladle broth over the top. Serve immediately with a slice of bread, either plain or toasted, in the soup or beside it. It should look something like this: Photo by Food52 Or like mine:

Today we will be visiting Tunisia right from our kitchen tables. I will be showing you step by step how to make Rfiss. Rfiss actually means to mix with your hands in Arabic. This dish is also widely made in Algeria. It is made of semolina and dates and great to have in the morning for breakfast followed by a cup of tea! Ingredients: 1 bowl semolina 1 bowl dates 2 tsp cinnamon 80 gr butter Directions: On a nonstick pan, grill the semolina until a golden color (stir continuously)     Remove from heat and add butter (cut in cubes) and the dates. Mix well, shape the mixture as you desire Serve with a nice cup of mint tea!
